This is an amazing Christian Dior gypsy feel gown in a delicious shade of Bordeaux. My buyer purchased this many years ago from the estate of a former model and with the time-line from her and upon finding a photo from 1970 picturing a similar dress with some similarities in the print I believe this is from the same collection.† It is a stunning and beautiful gown whose style is being much copied on the runways once again. The cut is fairly simple with much of the interest being through the contrasting print. I love the soft and subtle flat pleats that sit just under the hip-line - this allows the skirt extra fullness below. The top has a yoked effect and I love that the upper shoulders are left unlined, A pretty keyhole sits at the beck and the sleeves are magnificent! Full and billowing and then caught up at each wrist. It is in superb condition and it comes with its original scarf. A numberd, hand written tag is found inside denoting it as custom made or from the runway.
