Green, white and black colour combinations handwoven Nuapatna cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree is woven with flower and sapta motifs on the body. Dobby rudraksha design are woven on the border with ikat fish and flower motifs. Striped flower designs are woven on pallu of the saree.
