Purple handwoven Sambalpuri cotton saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree is woven with stripe pattern on the body. Dobby rudraksha motifs are woven on border of the saree. The floral patterns on pallu add to the beauty of this handloom saree. This saree comes with attached blouse piece. The saree gives little crispy feel to hand as starch is applied to yarns during weaving.
