R35 GT-R Catch Can System Overview

Radium Engineering offers two complementary catch can kits for the R35 GT-R, designed to work independently or together for maximum crankcase protection:

• 20-0555-FL — Dual CCV Catch Can Kit (this kit): Mounts at the front of the engine. Interfaces with the breather lines from both cylinder heads to the turbo intake piping. Contains two catch cans — one per head breather. Effective under boost when the PCV valve closes and all blow-by exits via the head breathers.
• 20-0565-FL — PCV Catch Can Kit: Mounts near the brake master cylinder at the rear of the engine bay. Runs inline between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. Effective during light cruising, idle, and deceleration when the PCV valve is open.

For the ultimate in engine protection, Radium recommends running both kits together.

Dual CCV Catch Can Kit - 20-0555-FL

The two CCV catch cans run inline between each crankcase vent (CCV) port and the corresponding turbo inlets, retaining full factory functionality. Each catch can features large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. Kits mount using factory holes with no cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications required.

At high load (WOT), these vents experience high crankcase blow-by flow that would otherwise accumulate as oil and sludge in the intake pipe and intercooler — reducing thermal efficiency and performance over time. The Radium dual CCV catch cans capture this before it reaches the turbo inlets.

This is a closed loop system — it does not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making it emissions compliant and track legal.

Notes:

• This kit does not address blow-by from the PCV valve side of the crankcase
• Compatible with and recommended to be used alongside the PCV Catch Can Kit (20-0565-FL)
• No extra inline check valve required — Radium catch cans are pressure sealed
